Our Story

How it all started...

What began as a small local church established in 1951 in the coal camps of Southwest Virginia has grown into a home for 350+ with classes for all throughout the week, local outreach programs, and a global mission.

Esserville Community Church is the "perfect place for people who aren't."

Expanding the vision...

Esserville Community Church operates outside the church walls- leading community ministries.  If you're local to the area, you can find us serving at community-wide events, including the Best Friends Festival and the Va-Ky District Fair. We provide meals through HIS Daily Bread Mobile Food Center and enrich hearts through H.I.S. (Hearts in Service) Women's Ministry and our youth programs.

Where we are headed...

Esserville Community Church plans to expand to a larger, 800 seat auditorium and family life center with multi-use facilities aimed at better serving our community.

ECC operates a mission in Uganda and is currently in the last stage of building an orphanage to meet the needs of children in need.

Our mission is to always see lives transformed through Christ. In 2020, we hope to see 200 people turn on their light for Jesus.
